I wrote a story for the
October issue of Chicago Parent about painting with produce. Next time you clean out your fruit and vegetable drawer, turn your past-it's-prime produce into art supplies.
You'll be surprised at how much fun you can have with a head of broccoli and a halved potato.

Such a cute picture of E!
There is never enough said about recycling vegetables. Using non-edible food for art purposes is rather clever and definately teaches the lessons of turning a negative into a positive. The invaluable gift kids take away from this exercise in usefulness is definately worth the downside of this whole endeavor, which may just be the smell.
