So I am a little bit obsessed with CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture). Way back in the fall, I wrote about it here. In the spring, I wrote about my CSA love affair here. And in the July issue of Chicago Parent, I am at it again. Check out my CSA article here .
We actually got our first CSA box from Homegrown Wisconsin a few weeks ago. I took a picture of it so I could show you (Who photographs their produce? So weird.) This box contained homemade pear butter, mushrooms, two varieties of lettuce, asparagus, french breakfast radishes, rhubarb, mint, spinach, chives, and green garlic. I will confess that I ended up throwing the green garlic away because I never quite figured out how to use it -- but everything else was yummy.
So much good summer and fall food to look forward to!

We've been thinking about joining one and I'd for sure be taking pics, too! :)
Hope you're having a great weekend!

I don't think I've ever heard of green garlic! I looked into a CSA exchange in our area earlier this year. I didn't realize you get so much yummy stuff. I'd be having a salad fiesta!
we have recently joined a csa and have been loving it! Best idea ever. I'll take pics and post on mine later this week. Santa comes on Thursday here...
This is my first summer with a CSA...and I'm LOVING it!
