Hey kid, you got the time?

I wrote a story for the fall issue of Going Places Magazine about local opportunities to teach kids how to tell time. Chicago is home to some pretty cool time pieces that will help you explain the difference between the minute and hour hands.

But really the story is about looking around Chicago and seeing it through your child's eyes.

Trust me, it is so much more interesting that way -- whether you are looking at clocks or waves or a bulldozer or anything else really.

Wonderful. A writer friend in my critique group wrote a very cool story for kids about time zones. I'm still hoping she gets it published, since I think kids find time to be fascinating.
